Short description Sculpted wall-mounted memorial showing the Resurrection of Christ in the central field, with under it a text field. To the left, right, and on top of the scene, fields were added of a slightly different stone. Left: Abbot Georg Truchsess von Wetzhausen, kneeling, faced towards the central field. Right: Death as a rotten corpse, carrying a bow and arrow, accompanied by an hourglass. Upper field: the Virgin Mary with Child. Around the memorial, painted murals show flag carries, floral motifs, banderoles, and a pelican feeding his blood to its young.

Social status / profession Abbot of the Benedictine Monastery of Auhausen (1499-1530); In 1530 the monastery was threatened and dissolved because of the Reformation, and Georg moved to the Dominican Monastery in Eichstätt; Previously monk in the monastery of Münchsteinach; Studied at the university of Ingolstadt (until 1488); Knight of the Holy Sepulchre.
