Late breaking poster session: call for submissions
For the first time in ADHO history, DH2019 was holding a call for Late Breaking posters. For organisational reasons, the regular Call for Papers closed in November, some seven months before the actual conference. However, DH is a fast-moving discipline and there have been legitimate concerns that such an early deadline runs against the goals of capturing the latest development of the field and being at the cutting edge of research.
To address this problem, the Programme Committee has decided to produce a further call for submission for up to 10 posters to be included in the Programme and poster session where they will be clearly identifiable under the label of “Late Breaking”. In order to be eligible, these posters must be:
- Focussed on a new development produced between November 2018 and April 2019.
- Or focussed on a new project started/funded in the same period of time
- Or focussed on a new scholarly achievement or discovery produced in the same period of time
In addition, they must also be not have been submitted before in any form in the previous call.
The late breaking poster proposal can focus on any of the topics covered by the conference (see the regular CfP) and must comply with the expected format for posters (i.e. abstract of max 750 words and so on).
DH2019 uses double-blind peer review. To facilitate this process, please remove all identifying information from your proposal submission including author name(s) and affiliation(s), project URLs, etc.
Proposals must be submitted via ConfTool by the 26th of April at 11:59pm GMT. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the authors by the 17th of May.
For any questions, feel free to contact the Programme Chairs.
